October 15, 2026 — One Report, Whole Books & the Publisher Pipeline
- Every lens and the beta read now arrive as one report: the manuscript on one side, every note on the other, each note anchored to the line or chapter it is about. Clicking either side brings the other into view
- Editors curate before anything reaches the author: switch any note off, edit its wording, or add a note of their own, with a guided pass through the notes that matter most. The author receives the result in a single voice
- After delivery, authors and editors can discuss any note in place. The author marks a note addressed and the editor confirms it, and authors get an hourly digest when there is something new for them
- Whole books read properly: the report always shows the full manuscript with a table of contents, reads long books through a moving window instead of loading everything at once, and lets you search the notes or the manuscript and jump straight to a match
- A depth setting on the curate screen chooses how many of a report’s notes the author sees, from the most serious down. It works on a report you already have, so changing it costs nothing and re-runs nothing
- Publishers can set a reading level per author, and each report records the level it was written at
- A printable copy of the delivered report, for authors who would rather not use the portal
- A publisher pipeline tracks each book through the editorial stages, with a stage editor for the publisher and a process map the author can see. Nothing moves a book along automatically
- The publisher portal is simpler: one book list in place of five tabs, and a manuscript can be archived, or deleted when no report depends on it. A manuscript already in the workspace can be reused instead of uploaded again
- Authors can attach their outline or story plan. The whole-book lenses read it as the author’s intent, a promise tracker follows each setup to its payoff, and a divergence check shows where the draft has drifted from the plan
- Story memory builds for much longer books (up to 500,000 words), and chapter headings ending in a period are detected correctly
- Fixes: praise no longer shows as a serious problem, notes the old extractor dropped are recovered, a run that produced no notes is no longer counted as a finished report, and a failed digest email is retried instead of lost
- Diagnostics can no longer be run without signing in
